murty can has lhrdl?

oh hai!
it has been nearly 2 months since my last blog, i just finished giving myself 50,000 lashes with a wet noodle because of my poor efforts.

pretty much these last few months have been crazy, i have been through the strides of christmas, although last year was different because i had to buy presents for all my immediate family. but i really find more joy in giving than receiving, so i guess i enjoyed christmas more last year.
i had the privilege of going on a road trip with some friends from adelaide during the christmas and new year break. it was fantastic; tried my hand at many new things, and met many new people. great way to burn in the new year. (i just invented that saying ‘burn in’) during that time, my good friend carly and i indulged in a practice commonly known as annoying and a great way to break the ice. i call this ‘lhrdling’
lhrdling is a form of entertainment, mainly for myself, where i open my mouth and waggle my tounge up and down and make continuous sounds that can only be written as ‘lhrdl lhrdl lhrdl’.
i take great joy in doing this, particularly on camera where i can watch myself and reminisce all the good times i used to have.

what else is going on in your life murty i hear you ask.
well i have now officially got a friend that is of the female species and we are actually legitimately together now (which is far from what annika and i were). her name is adele and has been one of my closest, if not my closest friend for over 2 years. she makes me smile when i see her and constantly brings me joy. she also loves me just the way i am, which is almost a rare thing in todays world. with valentines day looming i have had to be quick to prepare something incredibly romantic for adele, and weaving my magic, i think i have come up with an awesome plan. but im not telling at this stage.

work is ridiculously crazy these days, as i now have taken on most of the support work while my boss (more commonly know as ‘dad’) is busy working on setting up servers. we have several major upgrades to perform on our client before the end of the financial year and it can get stressful at times. but it keeps me busy and money coming in. but quite often our trips will last a week, so it really cuts deep into my spare time, time i could be spending with other people (or creating blogs!)

i am also on the ypout directing team if i have not already mentioned. ypout is the biggest lutheran youth camp in south australia (around 300 attendees). my role is public relations, and this pretty much involves organising promotional stuff. it is not a huge job, but i am doing new things and meeting new people and serving god’s kingdom (3 of my favourite things to do). but this does add to my list of tasks to do as well.

on top of all this, i am still planning to head to america in 3 and a half months. i am still yet to complete my application and passport, but hopefully i can get them completed by early next week. one major hurdle i faced was trying to cover my living situation while i was absent. i felt burdened by this and almost discouraged me from going to america. but god prevailed! i spent time in prayer and asking god to sort this out for me, and he did just that. our landlord has offered to halve my rent while i am in america and my parents have offered to pay my rent while im gone. how much of a blessing is that! i love how god works. now my biggest hurdle is saving enough money to get there, but with the amount of work i am doing and leaving it all in gods hands, i am not stressing the least about this.
my good friend adam has also offered to put money towards buying a laptop to take over as well. this enables me to continually keep in contact with people and would be a huge blessing as well if it can go ahead. (no pressure adam)

well my life is so crazy and busy, but i still see god working amongst it all and it amazes me how he does it. i am honoured to be united with christ and i really hope and pray that my busy lifestyle can start to be channelled in the right directions and into the kingdom.

i love everyone who reads this (i think there are 3 of you) and i look forward to our next encounter

murty! :D
